We recently added a camera to our Panasonic suite, so it's enabled us to Skpe with friends and family. It's such a better perspective than by a webcam/laptop. (Especially for our unique family situation.) Having the video camera attached to our HDTV allows whoever we are video calling to see our entire living room and all the moving people in the room. In addition, the sound is so clear!
Talking to my 70 year old mother with my 3 year old boys was priceless! We were also able to "meet" Greg Harper's wife in NYC from the comfort of our home.
It's facinating!
Thank you once again, Panasonic!

Many, many moons ago, I came across an online application to become a “Living in HD Family ” for Panasonic. It wasn’t a blogging contest, or a sweepstakes. In fact, it was much different than any other promotion or campaign than I had ever witnessed. I found myself making friends with other families and individuals in the community and learning more about photography, technology, and their own lives through interacting with them on the community site.
Many months later, I found out our family had been chosen to become the 80th LiHD Family. It’s such an INCREDIBLE opportunity! Our family will be a “test family” for an assortment of Panasonic HD equipment and provide feedback that will help improve existing and future products. (You guys, go apply!)
Greg Harper flew out for our installation to meet our family, and show us the products. We had SUCH a great time getting to know him, and wished we could have showed him even more “Hoosier Hospitality” while he was here. Come visit again soon, Mr. Greg!
I've added some pictures from our experience on our profile. And you can read more about our installation day of fun at http://4tunate.net/2010/06/you-wouldnt-believe-me-if-i-told-you/

How in the world do I keep my quadruplet boys safe from unwanted content while allowing them to enjoy all the new technology?
Thanks to Panasonic and LIHD, I am excited to actually have to figure these things out. Up to this point, Jen and I have sited $$ reasons and avoided even purchasing an HD television, cable, satellite, or any of the TV options availiable. I have not had TV programming outside of an antenna since college, and have learned to enjoy having the TV be a neglected form of entertainment.
I have been thinking about trying to get a flat screen for a while and pick up some programming, but one fear I have is adult content that is on at all times of day. I am not talking about X rated stuff, but just the sex charged content that is on nearly every program and channel today.
I am now exploring all of the options availiable to protect the eyes of my family while still having the great parts of it in the home. I am really looking forward to having a great TV and surround sound system to use, but would love any input from you parents out there that have found ways to control these devices well.
Parenting is a challenge, technology a blessing, but I really want to handle it all well!

I was thinking today about how much technology has changed motherhood (mostly for the better). Here are some things I came up with, feel free to add your own...
~ I barely use cookbooks anymore - anything I'm craving I can instantly find a recipe for, change the measurements, read reviews
~ I've been able to connect to moms all across the country and have met some of my closest friends through our blog
~ I can check the weather forecast and prepare for the day, just by checking the computer, rather than waiting for the 6pm news.
~ I can catch up on TV shows on my own time anywhere in my house
~I have Dr. Google - no health care plan needed
Amazing, right? Keep them coming....

I had to share our family costume with all of you. It's my favorite costume idea thus far!
We were the 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. I was the Mama, Brad was the Doctor, the Boys were 4 of the Monkeys, and I carried around a stuffed monkey with a bandaged head.

I'll post more on our blog www.4tunate.net soon! Thanks for letting me share!

After only a few days of being part of the LiHD community, I must say that I am SERIOUSLY impressed with Panasonic's outreach to the consumer. They are truly providing a community of ideas, friendships, interchange, and learning not only about their products, but how to make them enhance your life.
Thank you for welcoming into the community and hats off to Panasonic for their effort in gettting to know their consumers and build relationships!
