I am seriously considering Homeschooling my daughter (and future children). I am a Math/Science teacher, so I think I'd be up to the challenge. I am a little worried of the social reprocussions. Will this affect my daughters social skills? Will she be too sheltered growing up, and go wild in college? These are my worries, but than again, I see firsthand how highschool (and even middle school) children are now a days. The overprotecting mother in me really wants to shelter and protect my little munchkin from exposure to the dangers of peer pressure. I see alot of homeschooling moms on here and I'd really like your input! :)

I think rainy days are much like a black and white photo. It's not so much that they are unique and rare, because we've all had our share of rainy days, but just like a black and white photo, rainy days really accentuate the beauty of nature. Whether it's a quiet pitter-patter, or a loud downpour, the sounds of rain alone are beautiful. Maybe it's the greyish gloom that makes a beautiful colorful flower stand out. Or perhaps it's the aftermath, the sweet smell of freshly dampened grass or pavement. The rainbow that appears in a random unexpected place. Or the appreciation of the sun afterwards. either way....rainy days are my favorite :)

I love this site!! A place to blog AND share pics/vids....awesome! Well today was pretty hectic in the classroom...some of my highschoolers were rowdy and I actually had to give out a couple of detentions (which I seldom give out). I am excited about halloween!! Emma is going to be a pirate!!! I will definately post pics soon :) I guess overall, not a bad monday...but definately could've been better.
