Launch Party For Teri Hatcher’s GetHatched.com

I met Teri Hatcher at an event. She was really pretty, warm and personable. She saw me waiting to take a picture and said, “You look like you want a picture.” She then proceeded to take my Lumix camera and take a photo of the two of us together….how sweet!

    Spring Break Photos

Spring Break was so much fun. Below are my top 3 photo moments (captured with my little Lumix) from the break:

    1. When compiling a list of things that we wanted to do as family, Michael said “eat sushi”. I’m glad that he did! I rediscovered how much I like it too! Here’s a photo of his first sushi tasting. (He liked the spicy tuna and spicy shrimp roll. He didn’t like the California roll though.)

    2. Visiting Flushing Meadows Corona Park (in Queens) was also on our list since we had never been there before. We had a blast playing baseball and football. Sean’s favorite part was playing in the dirt (he wanted to be “Sandman”). My favorite part was flying a Skydog Best Flier Kite that Michael had received from a friend for his birthday. Once we figured out the directions (words without a picture?!), it was wonderful. I realized that I had not flown a kite since I was a kid! That was Michael’s favorite part too.

    3. Easter Sunday was wonderful. After church, we went to a great-aunt’s house for dinner. It was fun to spend time with my husband’s extended family. (Not having to cook Easter dinner was an extra bonus.) I took this photo of the boys before church service. They couldn’t stop giggling…

February Wrap-Up/The Little Lumix That Could

    Categories: Video , Photo

Life has been busy since I last blogged.  Quick update:

-I went to a married retreat where I took my handy little Lumix along and became the "unofficial" couple photographer.  Someone actually captured my husband and I with our camera also:

-My family and I took a mini-vacation to Bear Mountain in New York.  It was so much fun....the nature scenes (that I captured on my handly little Lumix) were beautiful...

    - Sean celebrated his birthday... most of the pictures were captured on the little Lumix.

(The Lumix that I'm referring to is the Panasonic DMC-FX37.  It is my "go to" camera!  My next post will include video taken with the same camera...)

On the road with my Toughbook and Lumix

    Thursday, October 8, 2009, 1:35 PM

Last weekend I traveled to DC for Wegwood's 250th Anniversary.  It was amazing.  It just reminded me of how happy I am to be a LiHD family.

My Toughbook Laptop had gotten a nasty virus so it had been out of commission lately.  We got it fixed and I was so happy to have it along with me on the trip. It allowed me to do my work in the hotel so that when I came home I would be able to spend time with my family.

I also love my little Lumix digital camera.  I take it everywhere with me.  Admittedly, the larger Lumix camera takes even better photos, but I'm all about keeping things simple.  The thing that I like the most about the Lumix is that it is user-friendly.  I handed it to one of my friends and she was able to get a couple of shots with me and Lord Wedgwood.  (How cool is that?)

The photos were challenging on this particular trip because practically all of the pieces were displayed behind glass.  I remembered one of the tips that I learned re. taking pictures at an angle so you don't get a glare - and it worked!  Most of all though, I just took a ton of pictures -- at least a few were bound to turn out good (and they did)!  You can see a full recap of my trip (with the 60+ pictures) on my blog.  Meanwhile, here's a photo of me with Lord Wedgwood:
