I have a NEED for the Lumix G digital camera.  I mean really - the DMC-GH1K kit comes with an awesome lens, a 1080p camcorder, has face detection (which i dont really care much about as my art is not all about faces), is very compact, burst shooting even when you are in RAW....goodness will the awesome details never end! 

I NEED IT :)  Ok Ok, I want it but this want is close to a need ;)

Finally the sun is out and I have been making use of my Canon xTi.  I can't afford to get anything of better quality at the moment so I will make due with what I have.

My name is Elizabeth (Liz if you're lazy) ;) 

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the digital world.  Don't get me wrong, there is such nostalgia in developing b/w and color film and actually working your hands to the bone in the darkroom.  Ohh here come the memories!  As we grow technologically, we are seeing more and more people, decreasing in ages getting into the digital world.

I still find it facinating that my mom doesn't even own a digital camera.  I think, and don't tell her I said this, she is confused by it all.  Being spoiled by growing up in the digital world has, I guess, blinded me to the fact that it might be hard to get a grasp on when you haven't the time or energy to learn something new.

I don't know if I can understand how some folks know shutter speeds, f stops, depth of fields, etc but don't understand digital cameras.  It is essentially the same thing except you have first hand evidence of what you just produced. 

What i CAN understand is the step after capturing and why some would find it difficult.  Photoshop is for me one of the easiest programs to navigate but again, because Photoshop and I kind of grew up together....it would be hard for someone new to learn.  So now we know what I am good at...lets learn about what I am NOT good at....that is videos.

The main reason I am not good with videos is because I don't own a video recorder; other than on my tiny point and shoot...and really, how good is that quality!?

So now that I've joined, I hope to upload a ton of photos, one day, videos and get some feedback!
