How did you find out about LivingInHD.com?

I heard about LivingInHD.com from Debbie Pelletier (Family #21) when we met two years ago during our kids' sailing summer camp. She told me about the site and the LiHD Family program in which they hand-picked families to try out (and keep!) a suite of Panasonic products. I could not believe it until I actually entered the website and saw it with my very own eyes! I remember seeing the videos of the Rockfords, Nielsons, and the Seamans. I was amazed at what they could make with the equipment (Yes, I was an LiHD stalker!). Finally, we sent in the essay with a lot of anticipation and hope. And so, we waited…

How did you feel when you were selected as an LiHD Family?

There was no word for that feeling. I read the letter to my kids and we just screamed so loud that the next day our throats were extremely hoarse! My husband came in, alarmed by our yelling, and had no idea why the kids and I were just jumping up and down and screaming at the top of our lungs! Even when we told him, he did not believe that we had actually won those products until they arrived.

What is your favorite photo of your currently uploaded photos here on the site?

My favorite photo would be "The Edge of Curiosity". We were watching cute little kittens playing on the grass, and I took this photo just for fun. I took a glance at the picture, but I didn't notice how beautiful it was until I uploaded it to the computer. The colors and shadows were perfect, and the cat was adorable!

What are some photography/videography tips you'd like to give to the community?

I've learned to save all of the raw footage that I take, whether it's photos or videos. You never know if a photo that's 'boring' for one subject might be perfect for another. Another tip is to make a backup for everything, and save various copies in different places (even online). Trust me, if you place all of your photos in one place and they get erased by accident…not good.

What have you gained from this site?

I remember when we first got all of the products, the technology was overwhelming! I was afraid just to turn the TV on! Thanks to LivingInHD.com, I've learned a lot and now can do things that I didn't even know how before. We have met fantastic people with great ideas in this community, and I am still learning from them. HD Answerman, Photo Tip of the Day, tutorials and forums are just a little treat of what you can find here!
