How did you find out about LivingInHD.com?

I believe I first heard about LiHD from a post I saw on one of my Flickr.com groups.

What is your favorite photo out of your currently uploaded photos here on the site?

That's hard to say. I like each one for a different reason - either because it has a special memory associated with it or because it was a new photographic technique that I tried and was happy with the result - or even because of a vibrant pop of color that's prominent in the image. I guess my favorite would have to be the one of our Border Collie, Meg, laying in the grass looking up at my husband and you can see his shoes just barely in the picture. It's on page one in my album. This just reminds me of her sweet, happy personality every time I see it. I like the picture of the carnival ferris wheel at night because I think the lights are pretty and that was a new technique I set out to try and am happy with how it turned out. I love the vivid red in the "Paper Roses" photo.

What are some photography tips you'd like to give to the community?

First - have fun. That's probably the reason everyone gets into photography in the first place. But sometimes, when you're trying to learn new things, you can forget to have fun. Always have fun with your photography and enjoy the experience regardless of what level you are. The other two things I would say are: first be sure to read your camera's manual. I know that sounds boring to a lot of people, but you'd be surprised how helpful it can be. Second - take a lot of pictures! Experiment with different settings, ask questions and just keep shooting photos.

What have you gained from this site?

What a warm, sharing community! It's great to meet new people who share an interest or hobby that you do. There is so much wonderful information on the site - from Panasonic, the community and the LiHD team members! I've definitely gained knowledge about photography and technology, as well as the rewarding experience of connecting with other members.
