How did you find out about LivingInHD.com?

I came across LivingInHD.com after a friend of mine recommended the site. I figured it was worth a try and signed up, especially after seeing how popular the site was, how diverse the photostream is and most importantly - that it’s free.

What motivates you to take photos?

When I first started taking photos, they were black and white. I progressed to 35mm and currently use digital. From my experience, digital is cheaper and much more convenient. If I don’t like something I can delete it right away, no problem. Most of all, I like to capture things and preserve memories in my photographs. When I have time, I browse through old photos and it’s like taking a walk down memory lane. You could say my passion for photography motivates me most of all.

What is your favorite photo of your currently uploaded photos here on the site?

My favorite photo is of these puppies. It’s a reminder that through good times and bad, we too as human beings must help one another as they do during a cold winter morning.

What are some photography/videography tips you’d like to give to the community?

If you want to be able to take video as well as stills, buy a higher-end camera so it can do everything you need it to. Similarly, sometimes investing in better equipment can impact how efficiently you work and likewise, your photography. Never delete a photo from your camera, wait until afterwards to edit them down if you can. Before showing a photo you’re proud of, try editing/retouching it a bit to bring out its best qualities even more. This can make your photos more attractive and livelier. Also, try and read the Tip of the Day here and learn more about your camera and techniques. Lastly, learn how to critique others work in a constructive way. If someone leaves a comment on your photo, learn from it, don’t be insulted. After all – that’s how we grow and improve.

What have you gained from this site?

The community here at LivingInHD.com is wonderful. I’ve made several great friends here so far, and each day get to know more and more people. Take the time to get to know each other, there are some marvelous people here in the community!
