What made you want to train for the Olympics?
Well ever since I was little when I watched the Nagano Olympics I wanted to go – and being able to go at 16 is like a dream for me.
    When did you start skating?
When I was 5 years old – and I watched my first Olympic games when I was 8 (I think).

    HD 3D Family

Mirai talks about being an LiHD Family and HD 3D technology.

Did you know right away that you loved skating and that you were going to be good?
I didn’t know that I was going to be good, but I definitely loved ice skating.
How do you balance school and training?
This year I started online home schooling because last year I went to public school and couldn’t get enough sleep. Public school was a lot of fun but I couldn’t train properly.
What are some of your other interests – do you have time for anything else?
I make time for my other interests – outside of skating I’m just a normal kid. I like to doodle, read, I love to watch TV and do anything that everyone else does.
    Do you have a boyfriend?
NO! This is my boyfriend – the ice. It’s my only love!
Do you use Facebook, Twitter, or any other online social networking sites regularly?
Well, I’ve had a Facebook page for quite a while but I love to watch TV so I haven’t been on that much. I’ll definitely get into it though. Twitter I just started, and I love telling people about my life.
    Do you play video games?
I love video games, especially on my new Wii.
Do you have any plans for college after the Olympics?
I’m not really sure what I’ll do right after I finish high school, but I will definitely go to college someday.
Have you been to the Olympics before?
No, there’s an age limit now – you have to be 15 by a certain date and I just made it so I’m very lucky!
What do you think will be the most fun about the Olympics?
Definitely the opening ceremonies because I’ll meet athletes that I’ve always watched on TV.
How do you feel about becoming an LiHD Family?
I love Panasonic! My family and I are so honored to be a part of LiHD because we’ve grown up in a restaurant type of atmosphere and haven’t been able to afford such high-quality products. Being able to become a part of this community is such a great opportunity for us because I’m sure we’ll learn so much more about technology and maybe my Mom won’t have to ask me about her computer or how to turn on the TV anymore!
Where is the big TV going to go in your house?
My Mom said it can’t go in my bedroom because she wants it in the living room so we can all play Wii.
Are you excited that you will also have Panasonic HD 3D products?
Definitely – I don’t think I’ll be able to leave the living room anymore!
How will you share your Olympic experiences with the LiHD community?
I hope to use the camera and camcorder Panasonic has given me to show everyone my Olympic experience so they feel like a part of it. I’ll use these products for training as well because you can review footage in slow motion/still frames – they will help me in every day life and I’ll use them all the time.
