My first major TV Commercial used B&W photo prints to tell the story about "Sharp Healthcare" doctors, which was in 1982, many

years before the "Ken Burns" effect was popularized (and became an editing transition:).   The new point & shoot

cameras from Panasonic can shoot HD video, with audio, and record excellent audio, and Publication quality stills

that can be dropped into your videos like a "freeze frame".   Even young kids can learn to become creators of

content, producer/directors of short films which has become an important tool for all companies to promote to

their customers.  I had learned Final Cut Pro years ago, but Imovie can give you the same quality, with an

ease of use that a child, or grandparent can grasp.  I believe that this is a good

JAZZ MAN http://community-4.webtv.net/GoldenPenMan/JAZZMAN/ *cover article from Manhattan Plaza News June 2003

by Maria Ciaccia photos by Teddy Fung JON HAMMOND Jazz Man Jon Hammond's story is one of survival. Survival as a jazz musician, survival as a Manhattanite. The organist-accordionist has survived because of perseverance, love of his art, tremendous humor, and gratitude. His new independently produced and marketed CD, HAMMOND'S BOLERO, which contains only music written by Hammond, is both a statement and a tribute. As his CD notes begin, "This record marks a new beginning for me, and I would like to dedicate it to all those who, like myself, are striking out on their own and going it alone. Don't be afraid to follow your dreams. I did and now this record is for you!" Following

I was this close, people.
I almost convinced the Husband to buy a big TV recently. It was a killer macho awesome windfall kind of a deal. But Mr. Logic says, "No, we'll wait till after we move. Wouldn't want the movers to break it, would ya?"

Fine. Be all sensible. I love that man.....and I know he's right.

But still......

Can you tell I have a bad case of LCD-itis? I am not alone. We were just about THE last family on Earth to get a DVD player. And I'm pretty sure we'll be the ONLY family left without a big flat TV....It's not that I want to keep up with the Joneses. I just want a better, fuller TV experience. We have special needs kiddos so we don't get to go out a lot. Entertaining at home IS the ONLY way we get to see movies....Really...

So what am I doing to make this possible?

oh.my.gosh....

(or as my friend Paige, from PA says, OH MY GARSH....)

I went to Wal-Mart (no judgement) and asked one of the employees what *I* thought was a simple question about LCD TV's and man, did they blow me away with the info. I left more confused that when I arrived.....

I felt very intimidated by the whole process. Buying a TV, or at this point, researching a TV shouldn't make you feeel BAD.....

So I skipped over to the super helpful and completely non-judging videos that they have here at Living HD. That Answer Man rocks...

I know which TV I want now......Now I just need to win the Lottery.

I know I want 1080P, I would really like it to be at least a 40"....

I can wish, can't I?

Maybe I'll be SUPER lucky and get picked to be one of the Living HD Families. If they picked

I got to upgrade my tv to a 50" panasonic plasma tv. I sold my old 46" samsung to a friend. It was starting to have problems and he didn't mind them.

This puts my whole system with this set up:

50" Panasonic tv
Onkyo 7.1 surround sound
PS3
X-box 360
Sony speakers (surround, center, and 12" powered subwoofer)
