Today we are blessed to be celebrating my mom's 88th Birthday.  As the years go by you cherish these special occasions. Happy Birthday to a Supermom.

With the recent changes to the LiHD site, it looks like we'll be seeing a lot more activity here. For those of you who have never been here before, let me say welcome! While it is great to get points and all, this site is really about community. Come on in. Look around. Chances are, you'll meet a lot of great people. We sure have.

I've said it time and time again, being a Living in HD family is great and one of the best parts about it is the fact that we have met so many kind and wonderful people as a result of being in this program. This is one of the kindest, most supportive and helpful communities you can find on the web or in real life! I hope that you find it as welcoming as we have and we look forward to having you as part of our community and family.

We recently added a camera to our Panasonic suite, so it's enabled us to Skpe with friends and family.  It's such a better perspective than by a webcam/laptop.  (Especially for our unique family situation.)  Having the video camera attached to our HDTV allows whoever we are video calling to see our entire living room and all the moving people in the room. In addition, the sound is so clear!

Talking to my 70 year old mother with my 3 year old boys was priceless!  We were also able to "meet" Greg Harper's wife in NYC from the comfort of our home.

It's facinating!

Thank you once again, Panasonic!

Today is the 1st day of school and I can't believe that I was so busy trying to keep everyone on schedule that I totally forget to take picutres. OUCH! Well the boys are probably thankful, but I'm SO bummed! Well at least I can snap a couple of Ryan when I pick him up today, but Riley will be coming from football practice, so I won't be able to get him. Darn!

We all appreciate good movies, and it's fun to go to the theater but with all the 3D that's out there it is becoming a bit crazy. What's wrong with the regular 2D film? In the not too distant past seeing a 3D movie was considered a gimmick and didn't really appeal to many people. But that has changed, every movie that is released targeted at the kids it's in the 3D format.

Many theaters will play a standard 2D version of the movie, but once the kids know that it is in 3D, that's the way it had to be seen. But what's more is that the prices for these 3D movies is so outrageously high, it makes it difficult for most families to take the entire family to the movies anymore. What used to be a cheap, fun thing to pass a Saturday afternoon has now become almost as much as a weekend

We recently went to the beach in the Gulf Shores area (in spite of the oil).  We never got in the water but we did take several walks on the beach. One of my favorite things to do is get family photos on the beach.  So I grabbed one of my cameras (one of the treats with being a LiHD family) one evening and snapped some shots. Here are just a few.  I have added more in our photo section.

Today is our 1 year anniversary of becoming a LiHD Family (#49). Thanks Panasonic!

I wanted to do a slide show of Rose taking swimming lessons. She has NO fear!

I am back.....

Oh...you didn't know I was gone :)

We went home to Alaska for a MONTH'S VACATION.....I didn't want to come back.

In AK, I had a 3 bdr apartment hotel, with a MAID....and there was snow.

But I'm back.

While I was gone, I fell in love.......with a TV. My heart is even more set on going flat.

Although I got diamond earrings, I still want a 42" flat LCD.....is that so wrong?

I intend to post more frequently....

I had to share our family costume with all of you.  It's my favorite costume idea thus far!

We were the 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.  I was the Mama, Brad was the Doctor, the Boys were 4 of the Monkeys, and I carried around a stuffed monkey with a bandaged head.

I'll post more on our blog www.4tunate.net soon! Thanks for letting me share!
