FORUMs: How may we get more participation? Let's face it, it's a GREAT IDEA; but empty of posters, most of the time.

I think highlighting the forum would be great. There were regular members of the community who didn't even know there was a forum so some type of email announcement to all the members and maybe a more noticeable link on the home page. Summer is always a bit slower with forums because everyone is outside;)

I TOTALLY agree about moving the forum to a place people can find easier. I didn't find it for the longest time. Also, this is a little off topic but it would be nice if the "Notify me of new messages posted to this thread" was automatically checked. I think I forget to check it sometimes.

Advertising, of course..... This would take some time, but how about little stand up ads at the dealers to show there is a site for Panasonic/HD people to talk about their lives with Panasonic/HD products. Send a special announcement to all dealers. Also put the URL on packaging and user manuals/handouts and include the site URL in any current ads in magazines, etc.

I didn't find the forum until I saw a link on another person's website - a specific forum tab would definitely be useful!

Although they are now listed under Learning Center, giving them a separate tab on the bar at the top would let people know we have Forums. I also like Lindsay's idea about putting the URL in product advertising and in dealers and other merchants who carry the Panasonic brand.

How about a Button that can be placed on websites or in signatures? That will create links here and others can spread the word easier.

I like that idea too If they can make a button and we can copy the code to put in blogs, websites and more, is definitely a great idea.

Don't know if its allowed maybe the administrators would like to have someone do it or I can get my son to put one together. He did my header at focusonmotherhood.com and my button (125x125) what do you think? I can get him to do it tonight?

for the FORUMs to flourish, we gotta have a button EQUAL to the above buttons, not just a pull down in the Learning Center
