Well, my quest has begun with the "plain vanilla" set up. In reviewing lots of tv's, I'm noticing a feature I really like is disappearing. Why are they dropping pic-in-pic from the units now? I used it lots during bad weather.
And why can't they make a tv or remote yet that's voice activated. "Turn on/off", "channel 225", "set vcr channel 5 (date/time)". Yeah, yeah, I want a lot. Technology is supposed to improve and simply life.
I want my pic-in-pic back. ;x

yes, I too was shocked not to see that in my TV set also. I guess somehwere the cable companies decided their boxes would handle that feature. AS for the remote. I know Pronto had one, that was basically a mic remote. but im sure the voice recognition is prolly not that good for that. especially if the tv's on making noise too, making it hard to recognize or isolate the sound. and how much would u pay for that?.

Okay, now that was punny! Actually, I'm real glad you said that - cause now I need another one for my Mom's bedroom and that might just be the ticket!

Somewhere, some inventor/designer is thinking of something they'd like on a product, and next year, it will be there. It's amazing how peopel's mind works. Who would have thought even a remote control was necessary? When I was growing up, we had 9 channels plus sometimes a PBS station woudl come in on our rabbit ears. You'd have to get up and stand in front of the TV to change the station and now look----- WOW!
