So you're sold on the LIHI technology?  It seems like a good concept!

This may sound like the ultimate dumb question, but I"m curious: when you get to sizes like 56 inches, would 5 inches more really make that big a difference? I realize that the difference between like a 40 and 46 is really huge when it comes to visibility and room placement. I just can't seem to factor that much of a difference on the larger set.

Yes, my imagination is limited. Sell me on the larger one - I'm sure there's a good reason and I just don't know it "yet".

Night Owl Mama (love the name, btw). I think you can still apply to be an LIHD family, and win a lot of equipment from Panasonic.

Okay, I just spewed (Southern for that was hilarious and my ****e flew out of my mouth without my permission).

Understand totally on wanting an extra 5 inches ... I just noticed that sometimes that can equate major dollars. Like the cost difference between a 42 and 46 inch is huge. Then if you want a 55+, well, eBay the kids before they get too old.

I think I'll have to stick with the big stock at this point. They don't make the smaller plasmas anymore and I'm a huge plasma-addict. They just work better in my dark cave.

OK, eBay the kids made me spew my coffee & chicory all over th' computer screen...I tried to get the greeter at Wally-World to put stickers on 'em for return, but she politely refused...

Plasma would seem the BEST choice for you, given the darkened room...I want a plasma, too for my wife & kids...just wish I could find a 37"/1080p/24fps one to best fit the room...

I'd try Target for the stickers - they might be more understanding.

Yes, plasma is definitely best for me! Wow, a 37 inch/1080/24 ... man, good luck. It might just be easier to take down a wall or two.

A great morning to you!
