All Viera HDTV's save energy, but NO TAX Credit for TV's...but, NEED to replace your hot water heater?  TAX CREDITS are available, as well as rebates on select products:

ENERGY STAR is a government-backed program [allegedly] helping businesses and individuals protect the environment through superior energy efficiency.

while I couldn't give a whole d@%$ about the environment, I do want to save money on my electric & gas bills...don't get me wrong, I hope we all want clean air & water as well as being good stewards of the land...

Here's a toast to th' next old missus,
an' all th' gals that wants to kiss us........

I'm going to check out the listed window ac's ... yeah, I want to save money but it's candle melting hot here WITH the central air running at a constant. The AC repair guy told me I was "lucky" the other day - that I was able to get a 15 degree drop indoors. I don't consider that real lucky - it's costing me about $800/mo. to get it down to 85-87 in the house. And it's just early July!

We had a note at the front door yesterday from the city announcing we have west nile virus in the neighborhood. They really shouldn't pin those notices to dead birds - I believe what I read signed by the mayor. Kinda. If I'm going to get west nile, I'm going to need a bigger, better hd tv to help me recover. These dog gone electric bills are keeping me from my hd dreams.

I think I need a present. Thanks for the link and info, Sancho! I really am going to find two window units: one for my office and one for my bedroom.
