Getting Photo's Enlarged

Have you found any good online source to get photo's enlarged? I've checked around and there

are varying prices- so I'm curious about the quality.  I took some nice photo's recently that I would

like to get enlarged - up to poster size.  I have a couple that are poster size done by my old photo store years ago that

are hanging on the wall.  They have styrofoam backing.  I dont want to pay an arm and a leg, especially if the

quality isn't good.  I did try to upload one photo to a local discount store who had a good price and they said

the size I wanted may not come out right, so I'm not sure what to do.

We had some prints blown up to 13"X20" when Evan had his photos on display at our local library.  I had PhotoWorks do them and they turned out great.  They came rolled up in a tube.  Evan and I went to Office Depot and bought some black sort of foamlike poster board.  i think they celled it project board.  Anyway, I just rolled out glue and layed the photos down.  Unfortunately I wasn't uniform with the glue application so there are undulations in the photo.  If we ever do this again, I'd use a spray adhesive.

I think a lot of the professional photographers use adoramapix and WHCC White House Custom Color

hope this helps!

Thanks very much- I'll keep the spray adhesive and foam backing board in mind.  I'll check out more online

enlargers, too.

Thanks Linda!  This was all new to us when we did it.  We went the inexpensive route and learned from it.  You can see the ripples in the picture Evan's holding but he had fun with it and he got a lot of positive feedback so it was all good.

Those pictures are great. Thanks for the tip about spray adhesive.  Evan, keep up the great work.  Looking forward to seeing more of your pictures.

Kudos to Evan!! To have so much talent at such an age is remarkable.

Thanks for the info on the enlargements and how to mount them, y'all. I think I'll put both to real good use.

One site I was going to use said my photo would not enlarge very well to the size I wanted.  Can I improve the quality

of the photo myself?  Sometimes if I send a photo, the software package I store my photo's in will let me edit and file

them as 'best for web', so they're not too big.  OR, should I reset my camera to something else?  Thanksl.
