Yesterday I experienced an HD First.  I filmed our quadruplets in HD video playing in the snow for the first time.  They had a delightful time throwing the snow, making a snowman, shoveling with their kid-sized shovels, and taking in something completely new. I am SO THANKFUL to have that moment captured and to be able to share it so easily with others. I'll upload it to the LiHD site soon!

Have you experienced any HD firsts lately?  I'd love to hear about them.

I saw Avatar in IMAX 3D, that was kind of nifty, a true HD First moment for me, wonder how it'll translate to BluRay (and whether I'll be wearing glasses).

Sebastian, If all goes as planned you'll be able to watch AVATAR at home in Full HD3D! Panasonic has an amazing system coming out this year (my guess is that it will be closely timed with the release of AVATAR on Blu-Ray) that will allow you to view 3D at home in true full 1080p HD. If you haven't seen the system yet, you can go to www.panasonic.com/3D and check it out. There are also 3 trucks roaming the country showing it off. It is truly amazing. (We had one of the trucks come to our Christmas party- you can read about it here: http://calandroslihd.blogspot.com/2009/12/christmas-in-3d-hd.htm . Or watch clips on the last page of videos on the Panasonic 3D site.

It is going to be game changing!

The way that James Cameron has done it is truly an amazing feat. It is unlike anything you have ever seen before. Sadly, the 3D specs that they will be using in the future, only one current Blu-ray player will be able to support (not naming this time lol) and a lot of the TV's on the market currently won't be able to display the 3D. Luckily all these Blu-rays will still have the 1080p regular movies.
