I love being able to capture memories on our HD camera...but the editing and uploading are a chore.  Just curious what's your favorite video editing software?  I currently use Windows Movie Maker, but I'm hoping you all have better suggestions for me! =)

Thanks in advance!

Hi Jen,

We use Adobe Premiere Elements 8.  I find it does a lot of great stuff very easily and the price is right - look for the educator/parents discount

Just make sure your computer meets the requirements of the editing program.  Some programs like Adobe need powerful computers!Cry  I ended up building a new tower to accomodate Elements Yell  but it sure does a great job now!

I  use windows movie maker toobecause it was conveniently in my windows program.  Ialso have used this program called  Final Cut, which is really good but i found it too complicated maybe because i am mild in the tech savy-ness lol. In my friends comp i have used imovie which is so simple and that would be my favorite.

Thanks for your input, everyone!  I'll look into Adobe (although I don't think we would qualify for a student version) and I may give Roxio another go.  I had lots of lockups with them in the past, but hopefully they've worked out some of the glitches.

Value your thoughts!

Great input, I love recording, but its hard to find the time to edit it! I am glad right now I have a video editor in the leadership program! I film with him, and he helps with the production. he is off to Full Sail university next year so I am now looking more into editing software! I had adobe on my laptop before it just crashed. Do you guys prefer music in the back round or just using the sound from the recordings?

I use it all the time! In fact, I tried the photo scratch retouch this weekend... very easy to do and amazing how well it works!
