Don't really see much out there for carrying the FZ40.   Does anyone have this camera and what do you use to carry it?  It looks like its the same size as the FZ38... just not a lot of options, very generic.

Also, for my trip to Costa Rica would like to get an underwater housing for one of our cameras.... See nothing specific for the FZ40.   Might get one for our older Sony (dmc -w330 I think)  There are some generic ones that look like thick zip-loc bags.

Does anyone have suggestions for both the camera case, and / or experience with Underwater camera housings?

While the FZ40 is a very nice all in one camera, I did place an order for it, but have sent it back unopened after finding out from other users that the lag time when shooting in RAW is 5-6 seconds between shots.  I shoot in RAW and demand quicker response time.  Outside of this the FZ40 and increased lens and good quality HD video seem like a very good choice of camera (an upgrade and improvement over the  FZ38).  The cheapest place for purchase is Amazon.com.

May I suggest for slight more money the micro thirds camera G10 which is a mini dslr by Panasonic, also at reduced prices at Amazon.  The image quality will be much better as  you can see from all my photos taken and posted here at Livinginhd.

Good luck and happy holidays.

We got this from Mountainsmith and love it.  Our FZ28 fits in it with room for a few granola bars  Wink
