Has anyone had any experience with lens adapters on the G line? Like using an old Nikon auto focus lens with the adapter on a G1, 2, h, etc.

No. Winning the G2 is our first experience with anything other than a point and shoot.

We haven't personally but there are a ton of G series users doing just that. The legacy glass is to die for but you lose auto focus and image stabilization. Tim

Hey Cathy and Bob, Congratulations on your G2 win! You're going to love it. I HIGHLY recommend getting Tim (of TimnEvan) to walk you through the setup he helped me with. I just couldn't get a good pictgure out of the thing on intelligent auto. Tim helped me a ton and now I'm getting the hang of playing with the settings on my own! I'll post some pictures soon!

Thank you. Waiting for nicer weather. This is one camera we plan to read the manual from top to bottom...or so I pledge. Temperature has been so frigid we only venture out for work and essentials. When the ice fishermen stay indoors you know it is a little too cold to be out. Looks like you are enjoying the 3D. Can just imagine the video opportunities at your household...lol. Look forward to seeing pictures and definitely 3D home video when the opportunity is available. Thanks for the heads up on Tim.

I have no experience with the Nikon lens on a LUMIX and i have the G1, which I LOVE to pieces. Congrats to Bob & Cathy with the G2! Even with all the photos I've taken with my G1 i learn something new with each shot so it's totally amazing! Plus now i have two lens sizes: FUN TIMES ahead! Cheers to you and yes, reading the manual is the best way to go. As intuitive and simple as the cameras are to use, reading the clear info in the manual makes for instantly better results. Cheers to you all! I wish everyone a great 2011, no matter what lens you use.

Hey dduck! I only use the LUMIX lenses I have for the G1. I know they have adapters so hopefully one day I'll learn how that works! Cheers, worst case scenario we can involve Panasonic Tech Support, they are super awesome, and will know for sure.
