Digital photography allows you to take shot after shot, never worry about running out of film - but now that you have countless photos of friends and family, what do you do with them? There are a number of free, online tools that allow you to easily upload, organize and share your photos, such as Flickr and Google Picasa. And then there are also desktop applications like iPhoto (for Macs) and Windows Photo Gallery (for PCs). What do you think is the easiest way to share your photos and create online albums?

I use Ofoto.com from Kodak to post and share my photos with friends and family. It's really easy to maneuver around the site and they also give you the option to buy prints, cards, books and calendars.

Thanks Roxy, I will look at it. The IP that I currently use will be no longer providing us with a venue for our pictures. I love photos and most software associated with making it better.

I was wondering which photo editing software people prefer? I have always stayed with Paint Shop Pro since it was a shareware product (oops, age showing), it has always been great for cropping, resizing effects etc. Has anyone else got favorite software in the low budget range, particularly freeware? I am interested in morphing some photos but my old software is not compatible with Vista.

Give Paint.NET a shot: http://www.getpaint.net/ It's free, works on Vista, and from what I hear pretty good (esp for a freeware app)

Another option you may want to try is Roxio (http://www.roxio.com/) Roxio will help you with your photos as well as AVCHD video.

I have used Roxio and Adobe Photoshop and now have been using Adobe Elements. There are many good programs and any of the ones suggested here, you might find suit your needs. Many also offer free trials which is a good way to see what you might want to use.

Thanks, all! I had a good look at Paint.net - What a fantastic program for users on a tight budget. It seems to offer all the usual editing options offered with earlier Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro type programs. No frills but VERY functional.. Nice thing is it's free... with NO catches! I still had a quest for a free morphing/distortion program. I like the concept of Freeware. Budget limits what I can pay for, as it does with many. I found a freeware program called Cartoonist which offers some simple, but effective, options for distorting. I love playing with graphics! Always open to suggestions. Thanks, again!
