Casabkanca is wonderful in HD DVD; going to do the Red2Blu program & pick up the Blu ray version for $4.95... Band of Brothers is pretty awesome on Blu ray AND the main reason I bought a Blu ray player.

Casablanca is black and white, right? Did Blu-ray get rid of graininess?

well, I use 3 main sources: Internet Movie Database (IMDb) www.imdb.com/ it's really good to help you gvet the best available version on regular DVD, when no HD DVD or Blu ray is available...AND High-Def Digest Forums - Powered by vBulletin forums.highdefdigest.com/ they have reviews of HD DVD's AND Blu rays...but, lots of time the reviewers don't have a clue about what makes a good movie... Amazon is the other, has basic movie info & customer reviews...and generally, the chepest price...

Casablanca is still a classic- I saw it a week or two ago, again. I doubt if it was ever remade it would be as classic- they'd have to add an awful lot to it to make it different and memorable.
