I finally got my copies of UP and Monster Inc in (they were delayed a bit). The transfers on these 2 movies on Blu-ray are breathtaking. I will throw up some reviews on both soon, but I must say, UP has to be one of the best movies of 2009 by far.

We love UP here in our household. As I've said many times here on this site- some movies are so beautiful on our Panasonic Blu-Ray and Plasma that I just want to hug my television set. UP is definitely one of those movies.

I havent experianced UP on blue ray yet, but judging from my experiance in the movie theatres I imagine its breathtaking! Not only is the message powerful and heartwarming, but the actual visuals, colors, characters are absolutely amazing. Everytime I see one of these pixel movies, I always say "oh they can't ever top this one!" and they always prove me wrong! :)

I saw UP in 3D on board the Disney Magic, somewhere between Cozumel and Castaway Cay. I was a little surprised at the opening, which was pretty sad, for a kid's movie. It actually had a pretty sobering undertone throughout the movie, but of course, the picture was great, and I'm sure that will translate well on BluRay. The dogs were great.

Pixar finally did one for the adults in my opinion. Yes they had the kid and the goofy animals, but it was clearly aimed towards an older crowd. I would recommend this movie time and time again to ANYONE of ANY age.

I don't think this was Pixar's only movie aimed towards adults! Wall-E was another one with a great and very mature message. But I do feel UP was geared generally more towards the adult viewer. Pixar has a great way of truely making family movies that the entire family including the adults, can watch and enjoy together.

Pixar definetly does not dissapoint. I sadly was not able to see UP when it was on the theatre because I had lots of work to do, and didnt have time to go to the movies. As soon as the dvd was released I was able to watch it, and I must say I love it. I really loved it and it was such a great movie which I feel that many people could realte to.
