I just finished putting our family blog into a blurb book - link here. This book is over 90 pages and will just cost about $50 in hardback (sorry, in the preview, you can just see 10 pages.) I also did this with the Olympic blog last year - here. This is a great feature if you haven't checked it out! You can simply put in the address of your blog into blurb, and it creates a book. It puts a picture on each page, so I still did quite a bit of editing, but it's great that you don't have to retype your entries. Also, I use compressed pictures on my blog from Picasa, and they aren't high enough resolution for print. However, it's pretty easy to go get the originals from the photo sharing site you use or your computer, and you can use them to replace the low resolution ones. In some cases, I put a video instead of photos on my blog. For those entries, I just chose some still shots instead. I love having a blog, but having it in book form makes it something I can look at for years to come.

This is great! I've got a Ghana blog that I posted right after my trip. I had originally wrote a journal by hand and typed it all out in one blog post. I would love to have it in hard cover. I've thought of printing it all out before on my computer but that takes time, ink and lots of paper. I will definitely do this with my Ghana blog.

Do it before 11/24, and you'll get 20% off! But even if you don't take advantage of that, the price is really reasonable. Be sure and post a preview here when you do it!

So awesome, I just found out about another site that does this same thing but they charge more money. I've been interested in doing this for awhile and I think this will provide me with the means to do it. Ther is definitely a sense of satisfaction seeing your work in hardbound print and this will make both a great gift idea and a great "coffee table" book to look through. I've found it hard to really share my best photos with friends but this seems like the perfect solution. I'll let you know how it turns out when I'm done. ~Josh

I'm working on my 2nd blog book now. I have really enjoyed having the 1st one - almost better than all the family photo albums I used to do because I did a better job of journaling. I have a friend who is blogging about her journey with cancer. I'm going to try to do one of these for her. What's really neat is that she can have it and her young daughters can also have copies of their own.
