I'm trying to set up my Que (spelling?) for my blockbuster account and I cant seem to pick more than 2 movies that jump out at me.  My first two picks (GI Joe and Ghost of Girlfriends Past) were a mistake ( worst storylines ever!) so can you all maybe suggest some DVD (doesnt have to be new release)?

I just watched GI Joe for the first time last night, I liked it, but I totally agree with you, the plot/storyline was super cheesy.. :/ kind of a disappointment, but the action scenes weren't too bad! I try to take something positive out of it :)

I haven't seen Star Trek, but I know that just came out, also 4 Christmas' was pretty funny too.

Glad to see you got a Blockbuster Online account! I know in store all accounts have unlimited exchanges for November/December.

If you are looking for another Romantic Comedy, The Proposal with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds is very good and The Ugly Truth  is also good (but it earns its R rating). I Love You Beth Cooper might be something you'd like, its one of those high school comedy movies but it reminded me a lot of how Ferris B was done and a few of the other 80's high school movies were.

As far as Action movies go, Star Trek is out right now and even if you are not a fan of the series it is an excellent movie. Taking of Pelahm 123 is pretty good also.

You picked an excellent time to join up also. December is a huge month for movie releases.

December 1st - Terminator Salvation and Night at the Museum 2

December 8th - Harry Potter, Public Enemies

December 15th - Inglourious Basterds and The Hangover

December 22nd - District 9

This is all I can think of off top my head, but yes, GREAT time to be a movie lover!

I can't wait for the Hangover, that was probably one of the funniest movies since Old School... It was awesome to have a bunch of guys most people didn't even know of make a movie that can compare to movies like Old School and Wedding Crashers!!

Chris, I did like the action scenes from GI Joes, especially the fights with Snake Eyes!

I loooooooooo-0--oooved the Hangover, I was TOTALLY not expecting it to be so ridiculously funny.

Matt, I love my online account, it gives me a reason to get excited about mail again! LOL

I'm putting all of your suggestions in my Que of movies :) thanks guys!!!

By the way Rocquan, I really liked twilight, I know its a teen cult (or cult teen I dont know!) movie but I actually enjoyed it!

I had the misfortune of seeing New Moon last week, and I wasn't sure whether to cry, take a shower, or get totally hammered first. To say the movie was awful is being too kind. Unusual as it is, I actually lack words to describe the absence of any redeeming quality this movie offered me. I kind of went to see this movie as a joke since I gave a friend this T-Shirt as a birthday gift a couple of months ago (http://www.jinx.com/women/shirts/geek/buffy_staked_edward_womens.html?cs=6&csd=1494) and she wore it to the theater, but that was hardly a consolation.

I know I'm not the target audience for this cr... stuff, and what's scary is, my friend says the books are worse. I find this hard to believe.

Anyone know of a good DIY Lobotomy site?

District 9 was pretty interesting, not sure if I actually liked it, but it held my attention. I'm sure it'll look quite good in HD, especially if you have a good sound system. The fact that it took place in South Africa, near Johannesburg, was a novel concept. Rather gory at times, but I'd say give it a shot.
