Any new movies out on Blu-Ray that you suggest to rent/buy? Looking for some ones to add to my inventory. Not too long ago I purchased "Chronicles of Narnia on Blu-Ray" it's unreal in HD!

I am sure the Star Trek remake from last year looks great on Blu-Ray; that was a fun movie, both for Trek fans as well as Trek-newbies.

Ooh yea, I'll have to check that out. I like the guy who played Spock. He's on one of my favorite shows - Heroes.

The movies 9 and District 9 were very good. Inglorious Basterds is my favorite for the oscar this year. It is so well done. Land of the Lost, Transformers 2, and the Librarian movies are all Evan's recent hits.

I picked up Inception on BluRay the other day, and finally had a chance to see this great movie again over the weekend (saw it in the theater last year). Quality is outstanding, beautiful picture, deep blacks, fantastic soundtrack. I can't believe this movie wasn't nominated for Best Editing. The last half hour is an amazing visual treat. Forget the Matrix, this movie will blow your mind. I am really hoping that last year's rumor about this movie being 3Dified is true, this is one of those few movies I would actually get in 2D as well as 3D.

I really enjoyed Inception in the theaters and am looking forward to seeing it on my BluRay soon. Saw Salt and Despicable Me last week and I liked both of those. The last movie that I felt the need to buy after my rental was Scott Pilgrim. I thought that was a lot of fun and really different.

Now that the time has come I'm glad that someone else is as excited about Inception on Blu Ray as I am. Indeed, Inception in 3D at home is definitely a no brainer if that option ever comes about.
I find that the movies I was eager to see on screen in 2010 (SALT, Book of Eli, Takers, Inception, The Wolf Man, TRON) now that I have seen them should be pretty rewarding on Blu Ray and I look forward to come full circle on that with 3D.
Sebastian, it's funny you mentioned The Matrix! No doubt I will compare any Blu Ray release to my collector's edition DVD set. Just imagine if George Lucas had all the toys James Cameron is now using in Avatar and now Sanctum to make the original The Empire Strikes Back.
The hope is and with movies like Unknown, Sucker Punch and Hanna, the trend is clear that directors are shooting more and more to the strength of Blu Ray and maybe even with an eye to 3d even if their movie will never be rendered in it. Immersive film is here to play.
I'm sure Despicable Me on Blu Ray is a hit. I can say for sure that even the original Pirates of the Caribbean titles and titles like Ratatouillie (sp?) work really well on Blu Ray for those of us with more family/child friendly fare in mind.
I'm still trying to watch my movies in 2D even at the theatre so I can relish 3D at home all the more when I get to that extremely happy and rewarding place.
I look forward to more great recommendations and echo the ones already mentioned! Cheers!
