Well, it's actually 2 old ones, and a new one, but I just ordered the following on Amazon:

1. 2001, a Space Odyssey

2. The Blade Runner, complete 5-disc edition

3. Avatar

I know, I know, this Avatar release is only the movie, without any special features, and they're already talking about an extended edition coming out in November, but I figured $19.95 is more than reasonable for this movie, which I'm sure will get a lot of playtime.

The other 2 are just sci-fi classics that I understand transfered really well to the BluRay format, so I can't wait to check them out once again. I remember seeing the Blade Runner in the theater, snuck in when I was 15. I also recall 2001 being very boring when I was a teenager, but only more recently started to appreciate the story and cinematography.

I just added Blade Runner (the Director's cut) to my Netflix queue. I saw this one when I was younger, too, and don't think I appreciated it. I'm anxious to take another look at it. I love Blu-Ray and am looking forward to seeing Avatar at home on my Panasonic Plasma. I know it will look pheomenal, but I know I'm going to miss the 3D...Any idea when it's coming out in 3D? Might make a great excuse to buy a Panasonic 3D tv!

IRON MAN 2!!!! Wahooo! Tuesday. I never saw it in the theaters and am so excited to see it on my AWESOME Panasonic Plasma! I know it'll look better (and sound better) at home on Blu-Ray than it did in the theaters!

Rottentomatoes gives it a 74% ratings.  They are usually right on mark.

Iron Man 2 update. Looked phenomenal on the Plasma and sounded great, too. The people at Rotten Tomatoes really know what they are talking about. I'd give it a 74% also- not as good as the first one, but Robert Downey Jr. plays the character so beautifully that it's fun to watch him. Great effects and a decent overall story. I'll watch it again and look forward to seeing it with the oldest son!

I would like to strongly recommend The Guardian with Kevin Cosner & Ashton Kutcher on Blu Rayn with Panasonic surround.

The chopper scenes are some of the best I've ever seen or heard for that matter, sounds and feels like you're getting wet!

Any thoughts on a swap loan of good blu ray DVD's among community members?

We would have to check with Team Leader for the legal end of it.

I think a swapping program would be a great idea!
