My Lumix is a 12.1 Megapixel Digital Camera, and the model number is DMC-FS15. Is was purchased in December, so it's about half a year old. Today it randomly stopped working. I honestly can't think of any reason it stopped. The lens will go out, then when you try to take a picture, the screen gets blurry and it closes. It says "System error (zoom)" Or says to turn it off and then on again.
What do I do?

That has happened to me before but not with a Lumix camera but with an olympus. What i did was take the batteries out for a bit and left it alone for a while like a few hours then try it, it worked for me. Also maybe your camera has a reset button. well before you reset it or anything maybe cameron can find expert help for you, also try calling customer service for the product im sure they can help as well.

Yeah, I found online most people said that for something like that to take the batteries out then retry it as Ana said. I also emailed a Panasonic person, so once I get a response I will let you know! :D

Sarah, please see below the response from the Panasonic Call Center.
System Error Zoom message can be caused by:
camera being placed in an enclosed space i.e. pocket, purse, etc. while left powered on in Record mode and the zoom has been accidentally engaged.
impact, if the camera was accidentally dropped.
The customer can try to remove the battery for a minute then put it back in to test the camera again.
If the issue persists, this would be a service issue.
DMC-FS15 has a 1 yr manufacturer's warranty.
Here is a link to our online repair request form that will provide instructions on how to ship in her product for exchange under the warranty:
http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/RequestCenter?storeId=15001&catalogId=11017
This Panasonic camera will be exchanged at our McAllen Exchange Center for the same, similar, or comparable model in a factory remanufactured condition.
