IMAX has some good movies coming out in Blu-Ray 3D, this year, in a couple weeks the Blu-ray of Hubble 3D which is an awesome film comes out.  And Sean Caseys Tornado Alley comes out in theaters this week, so the DVD cant be far behind (although the 3D release is not til fall).  Those are releases that are pretty quality films that may not have played in the local IMAX yet, as they kind of hit at different times in different markets.  All the christmas releases and Oscar noms are all hitting the DVD shelves as well in the next few weeks.

Great list!  I am looking into getting "Bambi" for my daughter as it's been remastered on Blu-Ray.  I like that some of the old classics I enjoyed as a kid are now available for my daughter to watch them (in all of their glory!)

Her favorite one is Sleeping Beauty (or "Beautiful" as she calls her) and Panasonic had given it to us when we became an LiHD Family.  It's crazy to think she is the biggest fan of a movie made over FIFTY years ago! I love it.

I love doing that with my 2 daughters, classics are classic, no matter how old the film.  Sleeping Beauty is a perfect example, Mary Poppins, Sound of Music, Lady and the Tramp, 101 dalmations, snow white, all good and beloved many years after they came out.  Its fun to rediscover them with our kids.

John thanks for posting that list! LOL

I normally just keep an eye out on trailers.apple.com, Yahoo! Movies, Hulu and whoever I'm following on twitter who I idolize like Jerry Bruckheimer so appreciate a list to appeal to everyone here! Cheers mate! Cool

Ahhh Kate! Wow, Adria has definitely got great taste! Yes, I love that Blu-Ray and 3D revitalizes these classics for our lil ones to enjoy fully. DVD just doesn't do it and until I enjoyed my Panasonic Blu Ray I was giving Blu Ray a few years to do it but watching the old classics on Blu Ray is a smash!

Do they have BD Live Content for classics like Sleeping Beauty or is it just newer releases? I best keep an eye out. The BD Live content for Ratatouillie (I hope I spelt that right lol) and the Pirates of the Caribbean turned those movies into true family events.

If you have a fave film that has BD Live content, enjoy it, some of the games and other activity make the film even more enjoyable in another way.

Is it me, or is Adria well on her way to being more Awesome than her amazing mom already is? I didn't think it possible Kate, but wow, she is definitely learning from the Best! Cool

I really hope Sucker Punch is as good as the trailers. It looks amazing and would be great on Blu-Ray.

There are a couple of other comic book movies coming out this year. Thor comes out in May and the previews look pretty good. The Captain America movie comes out in July.

Most of the Academy Award nominations are on blu-ray or about to be released.  No release date yet for True Grit.

I'm also looking forward to Suckerpunch, even though I'm afraid it may be mostly a visual treat. Definitely going to be worth a BluRay rental though.

Superhero fans are in for a treat this year with Thor and Captain America being released, with another Hulk reboot on the way, getting ready for the inevitable Avengers movie.
