Morning, We're again pondering upgrades for our viewing pleasure. We got away from "surround sound" when we moved into our current house cause, well, it was just so much trouble to hang 10 speakers around the room, then mess with a center speaker - and a subwoofer. I know - I'm sure it's worth it, but gosh. Are there any options out there for great sound to go with HD now that don't require crawling around an attic, balancing on a ladder and giving spiders a new home to web? btw - thank you all for letting me pick brains.

Mornin' back to you! Believe it or not, great strides have been made in surround sound systems too! You might be interested in the option we selected: a soundbar. It's like prego: it's all in there. Hook up is simple - it mounts to the wall under your tv and then you hook in the subwoofer. Popcorn, anyone?

Oh sounds cool! My computer I have now, wireless has HD sound built into the system. So it seems I am halfway there and next step will be to hook up a blu-ray player to computer.

It looks like we've decided to go with a soundbar system. Sound is good - install is simple - look is clean and neat. Before taking the plunge, thought it might be best to ask the experience and the experts here. Anyone soundbar-ing? Imp

Evening, Imp! We have a soundbar set up in our office and I love it. It's just as you say "clean and neat" and the sound is wonderful. It gives you the surround sound feel without needing to break out the ladders, drills, and hang little speakers all over. No regrets!
