Just sitting here making my list of HD movies debuting this coming Tuesday and wondering if I'm like "supergeek" cause I do this ritual on the weekend "before" release dates or if I'm maybe e pluribusgeek. lol

Figured I'd asked if any of the newer releases you guys are getting are any good. There's a bunch out that I haven't heard much about. Seen anything good lately?

Plluribusbeeks unite! I go through this usually before o movie comes to  the DVD market (I use my Queue on Netflix) and can move all around.  Now I would have to say my  collection or to put another way, I am always buying Blu-Ray  now for my grandchildren.  Have you seen CarsCool  BTW, interesting the DVD players people have in vehicles still only play DVD but most likely will see more Blu-Ray soon.

For years I bought all my movies, VHS.  When things switched to DVD, I started buying, but slowed down considerably in the past two or so years.  Now we're into blu-ray/HD, etc.  I like to get the latest technology, but it doesn't seem right that every so often I have to get rid of the movie format that I had collected..........what can I do with the old ones?  No one wants VHS and soon they won't want plain old dvd's either.

I'm with you here. Cleaning out my parent's VHS's this week - and wow, there are hundreds. Of course, they'll keep a vcr but it did make me wonder. Like you, I pretty much upgraded all my VHS to dvd back when it became the standard. Now - blu ray/HD. Most of my newer movies on dvd are hd by the standard, but I haven't got blu ray one.

Personally, I've decided just to keep the DVD collection (now over 600 of them) and build out. If it only comes in Blu Ray, then I'll buy the Blu Ray. In this house, it's going to be one player - several formats. I want plain old dvds. LOL!

When it comes to DVD's, I enjoy purchasing a whole season of a television show that I like so I can enjoy it again with out commercials, and at 3 am if I so wish.  One of my favorites is The Tudors. I'd recommend that anyone who like history, drama, romance on the racy side, and stunningly beautiful visuals check these out.

I  just got The Tudors 1 and 2... never watched it, but I love historical everything..miss having the time to read. They are the 'next up' on my list of 'to do' stuff. Thanks!

Summer beckons ... and with it I hope a great movie line up!! Any great new action/special effects movies you guys have heard is coming? I did hear something about a new Star Trek, but I'm sure that won't be showing in our living rooms for many months to come.

Most of what I've seen lately is just mediocre. I need "more". LOL

I'm excited to see Dr. Strangelove being released this summer on Blue-Ray. Being a Peter Sellers fan, i'm really looking forward to this one.

Oh goodness, I'm a huge Peter Seller's fan! We're always quoting lines from the Pink Panther series around the house.

Thanks, Tede .... I'll make sure to add this one to the collection!
