This is one of the movies I want to see in Blu-Ray. It must be amazing and one I have on my list. The technology has advanced to make these classics a whole new experience and as good and probably better than the first time around.

I'm afraid some of the old movies are not going to look as good with enhancements. Some of those backdrops were painted scenes, not real. I dont want to see how some of the things were done, I want to be 'enchanted' still! Has anyone actually seen any of these old movies in HD or blu-ray?

I had forgotten that many scenes in movies were paintings. Something interesting about Charleston and Gone With the Wind. The scenes that show Tara with that long drive lined with oak trees is here in Charleston and a road to a Plantation. I was on it and those oak trees are amazing. But then again, there are many oak trees here and recently they are now protected. You cannot take down an oak tree of a certain age. I am going to see if NetFlix has any of the old movies in Blu-Ray.

Is that the same one they use often in Movies -- like the Forest Gump house/property and I think also The Long Hot Summer?

I don't know but something to research. Interesting because3 they do look the same. If I do a search maybe I can find out.
