We have the HDC-HS100.  What an great camcorder.  On intelligent auto the image stabilization is incredible.  We used it to film Ann Arbor while driving down main street and it worked quite well.  You get awesome pictures and great color.  We had it with us in New York and it took great video.  It's only drawback is the inexperience of its owners.  Sarah got married at the marriage bureau in NYC in August and we didn't find out that Bob had accidentally turned it off during the quickie ceremony until we got back home.   Thank god I was taking pictures with the TZ50.  It is definitely a great piece of equipment for filming those memorable occasions that we all experience.  Great way to preserve your family history.
