I absolutely LOVE my panasonic camcorder, but lately I've been having trouble uploading video, and I'm hoping someone out there can help. I have Roxio Creator 2009 and have been using that to import all of my videos onto my Panasonic tough book. Recently, when I capture video - I'll get the video but no audio. This happened out of the blue and is so strange! I can't figure out what the problem is. I've done a million google searches and have hounded all of my tech savy friends, with no luck. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Roxio and that didn't work. I also uninstalled the most recent software (a webcam) to see if that might have done it, but that didn't fix it either. Do any of you have any solutions? I've searched the Roxio customer support and others have had this problem, but none of the solutions are very helpful. You're my last ditch effort before I try reformating the hard drive - which I really, REALLY don't want to do!

I had nothing but troubles with Roxio and before it completely crashed, my uploaded videos lost their sound too. You can try a clean install of Roxio, which is what Roxio recommends, and see if that works - here's how .... http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=41967 I use Arcsoft Media Converter 3 - the free demo version. You can get it here.... http://www.arcsoft.com/public/software_title.asp?ProductID=356&dyContent=LANG_DOWNLOAD With this you can turn it into an MPEG-4 and away you go. hope this helps! Tim

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Greg Harper really does know much about it if TimnEvan's solution doesn't quite help - http://www.livinginhd.com/answerman

OH! Don't do that! Reformatting won't help I don't think. Try the clean install and see what happens. If it doesn't work, I'd do the complete uninstall and move on. There are free programs out there that will do what you need. Tim
