Put in my order for a Panasonic G10. After researching and seeing this set in action, finally decided to order it! It comes in November 9th and I can not wait! Feel like a little kid on Christmas Day lol!

TV came in today, keeping the contrast/brightness below 50 and in zoom mode for the first 100 hours or so but even in standard mode the picture quality is amazing and the black detail is just astonishing. I had originally picked up an LG 47LH55, but did not care for the motion interpolation and sent it back and now that I have the G10 in and here I have more than made the right decision. Thank you Panasonic for making such a great television. I am just ecstatic at the moment and words just do not explain how impressed and happy I am with the purchase.

I absolutely love my 50" G10, I've had it since April, and I am still amazed by the picture quality. It is in our family room, while we have an older Olevia HD TV in our living room (which is where we do most of our TV watching, unfortunately), so it's not getting the love it deserves.

You may be interested in this CNet article where they changed some of the picture settings slightly based on their calibration:

Nice find on the CNET article. How did you break in your TV? Did you run slides or just ran sources that were full screen/zoomed in. I think I'm going to go strictly on what Panasonic says, keep the contrast/brightness below 50 and keeping the screen filled with an image.

The blacks on this TV are just amazing. I'm watching movies/shows and I'm seeing new parts of the picture I have never been able to see before. Even little things like on the program, The Office, when they play the opening song and it goes to the BLACK door sign with "The Office" written on it, the sign itself actually has lots of texture to it, lots of specs and looks like the sign was slightly scratched lol. And too think it will get better over time.

Actually, I didn't 'burn in' my TV at all, I assume QA testing at the manufacturer does that fior me. Other than the slight recalibration based on that CNet article, I just make sure my TV doesn't show an image for a long time, and that's all.
