My trio of 3 year olds borrowed my laptop this weekend while I was otherwise occupied and now the right side of the keyboard is all messed up... necessitating typing this message on the old desktop! Basically 7 u j and n and everything to the right of those keys comes out as a number instead of the letter or symbol it is supposed to make, but the left hand side is still fine. Should I seek the help of a computer professional or is there something I can do myself to fix the problem? Any suggestions... other than keep the kids off the laptop?? They now know that my computer is off limits unless they are working with me!! thanks, MaryBeth

It sounds like your Fn key (blue, bottom left) is stuck, press it a few times and see if it'll 'release'. I'm not too familiar with the Toughbook (if that's what you're using), but you can also try pressing the Fn and NumLock keys simultaneously to see if it'll unlock the Fn key (also try Fn, Shift, NumLock).

MaryBeth, Please try calling 1800-laptop to help you. Please let them know that you are part of the LiHD program. Let me know how it goes.
