I know I love to use pictures to make videos and have music playing in the background. Where do you get your music ideas, or music from without breaking copy rights?

Hey Cameron, I usually get the music from my local library and load it into itunes. Knowing which tune or album to get is another story! I seem to be in "vigeographer mode" all the time now and I look at the world around me in terms of how I can use something in a video!! So if I hear something on the radio, in a youtube or vimeo video, or wherever, I jot down the name and order the cd from the library or more frequently download it from youtube/vimeo, delete the video and keep the audio. As for copyright issues, well, there are numerous videos on youtube about how to tweak/alter a song slightly so it's not quite like the original. I use a free program called Audacity that allows that. I use Adobe Premeire Elements to make the videos and it come with a program called Smart Sound which gives almost unlimited sound track options. I use it sometimes too. Tim

I use to have both of those on my laptop, the one that crashed :( Great Ideas thanks! If you check out Pandora.com you can type in a band, song title, or genre and it will create a station with similar bands or songs it is a great tool to listen to songs!

Yeah sometimes I question the song suggestions, but they have features where if you dont like a song or you hear a song to much, you can take it off the station for a month, stuff like that :P I have it blaring techno almost all day!

Yes, indeed Pandora is awsome. I was a part of a lucky few that got to meet Tim Westergren (Pandora founder) here in Miami. Thanks to Panasonic I can pursue my career and my passion with RemixCity. Like Tim (of TimnEvan here at LiHD) , I'm in full cinematographer mode trying to get to a director frame of mind. Ideas I have had since high school are getting jotted and storyboarded. Skits I created, trilogies I made up LOL, the works. I'm also getting involved with the Grammy Foundation and have long supported music education as a fundamental experience even more necessary than math. Music is math with a passion. I have spearheaded my local Miami district in terms of getting a license from the global denomination headquarters so that there is no infringement in the media we use for church events: live concerts, plays, weddings, funerals, etc. Believe it or not it's just a matter of courtesy, I have a Sept 11 tribute project that a few bands have already endorsed my use of their work. As part of my thanking them they'll see it first so that they can rest assured. Back in the early world wild web you didn't just link to someone's page/site or downloaded any content. It was proper netiquette to ask first. Now I rock MTV and VEVO (HD only videos) mostly. DailyMotion and Brightcove are pretty good too. I used YouTube mostly to aggregate content so my friends could stay abreast of what I'm up to, and yes, I am always up to something LMHO! VEVO is supporting the UN Classof 2015 1GOAL: Education for all led by Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan. She is amazing. A good rule is to contact the copyright owner and be careful if it's a for profit video. Usually they love when someone uses their work in a way they didn't imagine. Groove on!

Great advice, it was my Gateway FX laptop, my hard drive fried, that laptop took a beating, falling off the top bunk a few times in its lifetime, and friends dropping it off tables :P My HP Elitebook that I got from Craigslsit, is business rugged which helps :P I have not dropped it yet, and it still looks brand new :D

Nice! HP doing some interesting things. I wouldn't be surprised to see 3DHD laptops from Panasonic eventually. Glad to know you're laptop armed and dangerous!
