There's more! http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/25/panasonics-consumer-grade-3d-camcorder-leaks-out-the-hdc-sdt75/ The thing is though, what's one do with it? Is there software out there to edit the footage and put it on your HD3D TV? Inquiring minds want to know!

i guess not yet, as the article says people can just continue using 2d pics n wait for the rest of the planet to catch up. But good point to bring up. Hopefully those features are avaliable by the time it comes out or at least not too long after.

Yea that's exactly what I was thinking Tim. Hopefully they'll come out with something soon to solve that issue.

Hey Tim, I have it on good authority (straight from the Answer Man) that you will be able to edit in 2D and see it in 3D. I got a chance to see some 3D home video and it is game changing. It does exactly want you want home video to do- it brings you back to the time, place and now the space where you shot the video. It makes the memory as real as being there as you can get. I have a feeling that once people see this, they will want more and more 3D equipment. It is amazing.

It sure would have been great if we'd had a 3D camcorder with us as we drove past the Eiffel tower, or see Stonehenge, or Tintagel Castle last week! I'm definitely interested in seeing how people end up using this technology for their own personal use... mostly.

Very true! it would definitely be interesting!...For right now (and probably a few more years) the camcorder is a little bit above my funds but hopefully one day I get to own one. Who wouldn't to feel closer to reliving the past!

These are great 3D camcorders... is anyone planning to buy one?
As soon as I master the art of taking a film project from concept to storyboards to editing, you betcha! ;-) 3D is the ultimate, we just have to train our brains again. Saw this news somewhere this week and I think I have LiHD Team Leader to thank, you posted on facebook right? Either way: Make your own Pandora for your very own avatar. Make your own 3d video game, do a 3d rendition of why coral reefs are vital to seafood stocks worldwide, the opportunities are boundless. Team Panasonic (again) way ahead out front! Olympics (Summer & Winter) and World Cup in 3D? Thank you very much! Just beware the health hazards for epileptics and other people, as we have for all equipment now anyways. Yay!
RemixCity: hypersoniclife: Living In High Definition LiHD is powered by PANASONIC Kairy Walker is HOT AS ICE! ;-)
