My first big Panasonic Investment might be a Surround sound system, any reviews or suggestions?

Cameron, This is a great idea, not just because Panasonic has excellent equipment but we all need these systems to survive the current economic environment, even a Blu Ray viewed at home is a better value than theaters. I would start with the hub of it all: The Blu Ray player, it comes with an Ethernet port so plan on having to connect it to the net so u can use BD Live etc. I know Disney changed their BD Live to where all you need is the disc in the player to utilize Disney BD Live. Warner seems to be doing something a bit different. Next I would add the AV receiver. One HDMI and both the Blu Ray Disc (BD) and AV sync so you can get 7.1 surround sound depending on the media (CD, DVD, BD) you are using and the speakers you will be using. Consider your floorplan of where the theater is going; Can you mount to a wall? Is your tv furniture sturdy enough to add a Panasonic TV? For the quality they're fairly weighty for certain HDTV furniture stands. Sure, depending on your budget and how you use media you could do it a number of ways.

The AV receiver and the speakers are fairly priced. The SA BX I have is amazing and simple to use controls and remote. Setup is a breeze and it's compatible with SVideo, the phono sound and video and of course HDMI and optical digital. Great investment!

So you would attach the Surround sound to your laptop? Keep the faith, anything can happen.
