What would you use your 3D camera for, if you had one? Remember, this isn't your regular old video footage, it has to have depth and make good use of the space. Do you think that in 2 years from now, this 3D trend will still be going?

A question I have is how do you edit it? Is there software available to turn it into a slick little movie?

From what I understand, the movies can still be imported to a regular video editing program like Roxio, and manipulated and edited the same way you would with 2D footage. I've seen some great home-made stuff by a guy who rigged together a 3D camera by connecting 2 video cameras together (right next to each other), and then some equipment to synch the signals, quite amazing how he pulled that off. I'm sure having a 3D video camera will make things a lot easier.

With raw footage, I would use the 3d camcorder in my everyday life, like skiing, biking, roller-blading, anything with moving stuff! :D

I would definitely use it if I had a 3DTV to watch the movies on, too!

3D is still in the infant stages as far as technology goes. For that reason, I would wait a bit longer before shelling out big bucks for the required equipment. It would be nice at some point to take a hands on class to get the basics down. Greg Harper gets my vote to run that class. It is surely the wave of the future and should be lots of fun when it's perfected. For now, I'll be on the sideline rooting for the Jets!

I would use it for special purpose videos. There has to be a need for the 3D integral to the storyteilling. For instance big landscape shots don't really benefit from 3D, as they appear rather flat in real life. But coming through a forest with branches hanging down to reveal a fountain would work. Just like anything, 3D is a tool for storytelling. While the idea of the 3D consumer camera is great, the lenses on the one right now look kind of tiny, compared to the normal lens. So I will probably wait a few generations to get the price/image quality where I want it.

The 3D is one of the latest trend in the market no doubt, well many peoples seems to like it perhaps the pictures is so realistic and the sound system is great. Nowaday many shows are listed under 3 D. The latest 3D TV could be a bit more expensive but is worth while.
