The 2008 Olympics were the first olympics broadcast in HD - and we got to be there in person thanks to Panasonic! I'm wondering, will the games in London be broadcast in 3D? How awesome! Of all the HD programming, I have actually enjoyed HD sports best. It's hard for me to watch a game in standard def now.

Since Panasonic is one of the big sponsors of the Olympics 2012, I wouldn't be surprised if there would be 3D broadcasts! I was in London in July when they were announcing the updates for the 2012 Olympics, big event in Picadilly Circus, and Panasonic was well-represented, not in the least by the huge TV screen (should be a picture of that in my Europe 2010 gallery).

Absolutely! I'll even have room temperature beer and fish and chips with mushy peas to make us feel like we're really there

I have to think Panasonic is planning on a 3D broadcast, as it is key to exposure and publicity of their 3D products. How does that work for bandwidth? I assume much more of it is consumed with a 3D broadcast .. or not? I havent looked into it yet other than the display at the electronics store. Can i get your warm beer in 3D here in the US?
