The last promotion ended March 30, the last Challenge of the week has been running for 5 or 6 weeks, and the Celebrity hookup has been up for months. Bob and Cathy, great members that they are, have been featured for a month. Is there anything new going on? Aside from user content that is, which is always great as ever. Just seems as though the rest of the updates have stalled.

I was wondering the same thing. Usually they change the challenge every couple of weeks. We are still getting some great photos but I've been wondering whether "they" are still attending the site.

Haven't seen any activity in some time. No money added to our cards either since January. Have to agree with you John, kind of tired of seeing us as the featured family lol . I'm sure the Amazing 3D Tour is a top priority. You can enter the "Amazing Experience In 3D Contest" daily through March 12th.

Somewhere, someone has made a decision to move their focus. Site activity has dropped dramatically, timed with the ending of the incentive program. There is waxing romantic with a corporation. NO new LIHD families, and the Pany staff associated with the site became very quiet a long time ago. All that said, i am still surprised that there havent been ANY updates.

I got an email response last week to a question about the card balances (I had changed my screen name, to try to minimize confusion with the John that started this thread, and wanted to make sure I hadn't shot myself in the foot). I was told that they had some delays in posting new balances due to closing out one accounting time period and kicking off another. Additions are supposed to be coming soon. I suspect that site responsibilities may have been shifted to someone who has numerous other things to be doing in their job as well, and simply doesn't have the time to provide the attention that Kate, for example, used to be able to. And I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the ongoing tragic events in Japan are causing ripple effects everywhere. Between the impact on employees' own personal lives, possible damage to Panasonic offices and factories, damage to other companies that supply parts, interruptions to food, fuel, and general merchandise availability, I'd guess that there are countless issues that are being dealt with at the corporate level, so even though we are communicating directly with a US subsidiary, the entire corporation may have temporarily had to shift this site to a lower priority.

Definitely John. With all that has happened in Japan I wouldn't think this site is a high priority, nor should it be at this time. I am sure most of the focus is on the 3D Amazing Experience Tour. Wish we had been able to go this year. Panasonic puts on a very nice display of all their new products. Loved last years.

No question this site falls well down the list in terms of importance in terms of what's been going on in Japan. I was just wondering. Probably right, passed it off to someone spinning many plates in the U.S. branch. And launch the new tour and all sure they are busy.

Yep. Apparently they've shifted their activities over to Facebook and I suppose other social networking sites. We don't visit any of those so we're feeling kind of out of the loop. We'll keep putting photos and videos here though.

The Pelletiers, Family #21
|
I feel the same way, nothing up-dated for months... I have a feeling the Living in HD program might be coming to a close, since there's been nothing new since early this year. What I found interesting too, was that Sony has a similar site on Facebook called "HD Living"... wonder if the two are related? At one point, Sony was giving away Panasonic TV's... does that make sense? Anyone have any insight into this? Well, if this is the end of Living in HD, I have to say my family had a great time being Family #21 and we certainly learned a lot about technology during the 3 years we participated. Best thing that ever happened to us!

I echo these sentiments, and hope that the LiHD families will continue to contribute their experiences with these great Panasonic products. I know everyone is busy, but a community site also involves users taking time to share content and make the site interesting. I know my contributions have waned significantly as well over the past few months, and I have no one to blame for that but myself. I have some opportunities soon to take some (hopefully) great pictures and 3D footage and I'll be sure to share my experiences with the community at large, but I also want this place to be more than a picture and video repository and comment site. And that will take some more effort, I realize. How about this, a call to all the LiHD families, talking about their experiences with their products, which ones they still enjoy the most, and which ones of their products that they received hardly got any usage. I know Panasonic did a survey among all the LiHD families which sort of collect this type of information, but it would be nice to see how other families experienced their Living in HD. I'll start, just to get things going :) We've only been a LiHD family for a little over a year. We were also the first family to receive the 3D suite, which was really very cool. Now, do I watch 3D content on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis? Quite honestly, no. At first, of course, it's really very cool, and with the addition of a new 3D channel to DirecTV, I figured I'd at least watch a 3D show once or twice a week. The reality is though, that I barely watch any TV, and if I turn on my DirecTV box more than once a month these days, I'd be surprised. So while the TV gets its daily workout (and I do so love the picture quality), I don't think I'd miss 3D too much if it were to go away. Part of the suite included a portable BluRay player, which I have turned on once... I don't think the product itself was cery successful when it was released and I can see only hard-core movie viewers being interested in something like this. Also, we have a laptop with a built-in BluRay player, so we'd rather bring that with us when we travel, so we can watch BluRay movies, AND do everything else we need to do on out laptop (Skype, email).
