I found a bat in my house yesterday and was finally able to get him out just now... what is up with my house being the bathouse for the neighborhood?

I think this calls for a trip with Adria to a local zoo to visit with an expert. And also a trip to a window screen store! I think Burt is a Little Brown Bat. Here is some info on him: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_brown_bat Maybe you could build a bat house for Burt in a back yard? I've looked at doing that in my yard but haven't yet. Good luck! Tim

You need to talk to a bat expert. We have had several bat programs at the Library in the past few years. They will help you solve the problem without injury to the bats. They are very knowledgeable and have helped several of our patrons with the same problem. They are fascinating creatures.
