Hello everyone,
With new features comes new things to learn and we understand many of you are poking around the site and trying to figure it out. Below we've listed a few of the new features and how to use them.
This will be an ongoing learning process for all of us so again, bear with us and report any bugs you may have so that we can better the site. Soon it will be bug-free and function full!
The new changes made throughout the community bring in many more standard social features such as blogs, photos, videos, RSS feeds, a private user.
Some of the new modules you will find are an activity feed module showing you a live stream of your friends activity, allowing you to participate in the latest forum discussions or comment on the great photo that someone just uploaded! You also have a quick messages module highlighting anything that needs your attention such as friend requests and new messages. The RSS module will allow you to manage any number of RSS feeds, such as your Twitter stream or any of your favorite feeds. If you are not familiar with what an RSS feed is, it is
Oftentimes you can look at a website and search for the "Atom/XML" feed or something of the sort and it will give you a funny code. This code can then be copied and pasted into the RSS section of the site. You can add up to 7 RSS feeds. If you cannot find the RSS feed of your blog typically this will work.
How to Find Your RSS Address
The easiest way to get the address, no matter what web browser you're using, is to look at the HTML source of your page.
How you view it in your web browser will differ, but in most browsers, you'll choose the Page Source or Sourceoption under the View menu near the top of the window.

Once the window appears with the HTML for your page, use the "Find" feature (typically Ctrl-F on a PC,Command-F on a Mac) and search for "RSS" (without the quotes).
![]()
You should be taken to a line that reads something like:
<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Example"
href="http://www.aweber.com/blog/feed/" />
The RSS feed's URL address is found between the quotes after href= .
If you still are unable to figure it out, please message me with your blog URL and I will help you.
Advanced Photo/Video management
Your new photo and video managers will not only provide you a progress bar to give you a perspective of upload time, it will also allow you to bulk upload all of your content at once, up to 50 items. You can also create your own galleries to organize the display of your photos and videos. Make sure that when uploading, you first press "Browse Files" and choose the file(s) BEFORE pressing "Start Upload".
Blogs
All community members now have a full featured blog, allowing you to not only write what’s on your mind, but also add photos and videos or embed any content such as YouTube or USTREAM.
- All comments and ratings that have previously been gathered in either How-To Central, Ideas Gallery or LiHD Theater will still remain. However, these were created as custom content intended specifically for these three galleries unique to LiHD!
- The photos and videos that were associated with these submissions were saved in each user’s account. So these will be included in your standard photo and video galleries as well, allowing them to be rated and commented on their own, rather than as their merit as a How-To or Idea.
What does everyone think about the new site and its features? Ask your questions here so we can answer them as well as troubleshoot any bugs and thanks again for being a part of the community!
So far so good. It's awesome to be a part of something new and have a hand in making it useful for everyone. Kudos to the team. Keep going!
