Terry and I have been married for 21 years and have four children (one in college and the other three being homeschooled) and a dog, Jingle (who refuses to be educated). We love the way being part of the Panasonic LiHD family challenges us to use the technology we have in creative ways!
Our blog from the trip to the Olympics we won from Panasonic (which has some missing video since yahoo decided to delete its videos!) www.seamansinchina.blogspo...

Right now, my favorite artwork are these pieces made with paper that Rebecca did for our living room.
The scripture verse referenced on the one over our mantle is Jeremiah 17: 5-8 is
"Cursed is the man who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord. He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planteed by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green, It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.
One of the great things that happened when we were chosen as an LiHD family is that there were suddenly several cameras in the family. That's when Rebecca discovered she loved photography. As a high schooler, we've been looking for opportunities for her to do some job shadowing. We talked to a photographer about having her shadow him at a wedding shoot. Then he took a look at some of her photos and said "I'll PAY you to job shadow me!" She is now making $100 at a pop as a 17yo.
She's shadowing this weekend at a wedding and shadowed last weekend at a family reunion. She really enjoyed it, and though she was able to use the photographer's spare digital SLR, she said it was really slow. She likes our Lumix Z18 better!
We love the Olympics! I just blogged about it here. It's so cool to watch the games on the Panasonic plasma. If you haven't seen it yet, there is a neat Panasonic website with inspirational stories of Olympians.
My daughter visited the Biltmore House in Asheville, NC last week with a family friend. They were having their annual festival of flowers, and here are some pictures that show the wide variety of flowers. All photos were taken with the Panasonic DMC-FZ18.
Before we embarked on our once-in-a-lifetime trip to China during the Olympics, we decided starting a blog would be the best way to keep our family and friends updated on our adventures. It was really easy to set up and in no time we were all posting photos and short movies so everyone could see what we were up to. It also gave different perspectives of our trip. We had a blast maintaining it and found out that it was a great help in preserving our memories. When we got back, more than one person said how they felt like they were on the trip with us just because of the blog!
