    Photos and videos

    Wednesday, July 21, 2010, 3:14 PM

I have noticed that in every special outting or just a regular outting, when a photo camera or camcorder is involved, it creates an additional aspect to the event. The camera is not just a device used to capture memories and occurences as they happen, but it is a contributor to such memories. Cameras play a big role in the outting as part of the main event. Think about it, if the camera was not present, would half of the things and small events have ever occured?  Would we have posed in front of that wierd building or jump off a bench for an attempt to capture ourselves in mid air? Would we have rode on that shopping cart down the street in order to make that funny youtube video?

Another funny thing about cameras is that it brings a type of closeness and reveals emotions or thoughts. Usually when the camera is present we pose with certain people that we pick and choose which is a way to show closeness. We think taking pictures with people we love is capturing memories, but it is more like creating them. Pull out a camera on a random time of day and start taking pictures of people and places and create memories. Smile

    the dark room gone

    Thursday, February 11, 2010, 11:06 PM

I remember in high school when i used to go to the dark room and develop black and whites. It took time and effort, and every picture was appreciated plus the wierd ficture smell. I miss it, by my senior year the dark room was closed down. How sad, but digital photography has gotten so much better it mends the wounds [=
